OUR HISTORY

The Hoboken Presbyterian Church was established on July 17, 1879. The originating pastors were the Rev. E. E. Swift and the Rev. J. M. Shields.

The church took its name from the community, which was called Hoboken before it later became Blawnox.

The first church building was a school house near the site of the Allegheny County Work House. Through all these years the church has maintained a vital spiritual presence in the heart of the Borough of Blawnox.

Strong in faith. Mighty in love!
